Afenyo-Markin brings ECOWAS Extraordinary Meeting to Winneba

Members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Parliament will be converging at this weekend at Winneba in the Central Region for an extraordinary Session.

The meeting expected to start on October 12 to 22, 2021 follows the Central regional town’s successful hosting of the de-localised meeting of the House in July this year.

The session is expected to discuss matters of security, democracy and political stability in the sub-region.
The meeting will also consider and adopt the draft 2020 budget of the ECOWAS Parliament.

The Member of Parliament for Winneba, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who is also the leader of Ghana’s Delegation to the ECOWAS Parliament, said the Winneba is fully prepared to Host the meeting in style and culture.

According to him places for tourists attraction has also been revamped, and that it is expected that the event will boost the local economy of the people.
